A very quick update on the KX063-00 conversion to a small cottage/bothy. I thought yesterday that having reached the stage of 'dry fitting' everything, it was just a matter of sorting out the roof situation and putting it all together. But not so. This afternoon has been extremely wet here so I 'reviewed' my build to date and was not entirely happy with it. So after a number of changes, it is still at the 'dry fit' stage but a fair wee bit of extra work has been added! The little building has now two 'wall papered' rooms - one either side of the door (which has a corridor between the two rooms) LED’s have been fitted - two in the little room next the chimney and one in the hall. The cottage/bothy now has a black base - was not happy with the roughcast going right to the ground - a corrugated roof will be fitted to the cottage/ bothy and a slate roof to the 'lean to'.The 'lean to' has all the roof timbers fitted ready for the slates and the exterior requires a second coat of paint so not bad for a couple hours work and I will be happy now to go ahead and complete it!
