#weekendplans Doing some pre modelling planning for another winter project, a model of the Bass brewery directors coach. The private railway network was extensive and spread throughout the town and local area so Bass commissioned the Directors coach to transport VIPs and visiting dignitaries around the network, the most notable was a visit by Edward Prince of Wales on 29th July 1929. The coach is now on display at the brewery heritage museum in my home town. There have been some excellent 00 gauge models made previously of the coach, 2 notable ones are displayed on the exhibition layouts “Gone for a Burton” and the excellent “Copper Wort” by Pete Goss.
