So, for the base board for my mates layout I'm going with my usual, 18mmx69mm for frame and 9mm ply for top. Going to be made in 2 sections each 1.3mx1.3m giving 2.6x1.3 ( a little over 8x4 ). Gives a bit of breathing space for 8x4 plan.
