Just a quick one here - picked this little kit up recently - 20p - no name, no instruction sheet, no wraps and best of all nothing missing. Allowed another little experiment - this model is tiny and the side walls came in three pieces so after constructing, I painted them matt grey. They could have been wrapped with a suitable wrap even though they were tiny but I have always wanted to try another little experiment with 'finishes' to a building/kit - and now was the time! I lightly coated the exterior of the walls with PVA and lightly 'dusted' them with a fine 'track ballast' and left to dry. When dry, I then coated them with another 'slightly diluted' coat of PVA and was rather pleased with the result! The roof was covered with SMS weathered slates. Now the big question - would the same approach work with a larger kit (ballast/light sand) and has anyone tried this method - what is the consensus?🤔🤔 - Ken
