Morning everyone! Hope we all had a good weekend, it seemed to absolutely flyby for me! This week is the first week of our Track Plan Archive Competition! This week our theme will be 3x1ft Model Railways, any scale, any gauge, any era or region! I often think that a 3x1ft board is the perfect size for a micro layout, long enough to give some interest, but small enough to be completed quickly and to a high standard. You can also build one on a Scale Model Scenery BB017 baseboard, which has been designed to fit nicely in a 77L Really Useful Box for safe and easy storage! Below is an example of @Iain Leach's Dunn Street Yard that he built on the 3x1ft BB017 footprint. Iain built this amazing layout in 4mm OO Gauge and feature's a station, two sidings, a factory, an engine shed and more! This just shows that this size of baseboard can open you up to some small but mighty model railways 😁 If you'd like to have a go at designing a 3x1ft Track Plan, now's your chance! You can submit your plans to me by emailing them to dylan@scalemodelscenery.co.uk. Track Plans can be hand drawn, computer drawn, or photos of your real models! You don't need any software or art skills to have a go and enter πŸ™‚ If you've got any questions or need help, please don't hesitate to ask. There's loads of knowledgeable folk on here who would love to help in anyway they can πŸ™‚
