Now here’s an interesting bit of equipment, a anthracite recovery machine in use, this one is taking ash, sifting it and dropping the re-usable coal into a Bass wagon for re-cycling. This photo is from around 1945 and at that time all the breweries used a huge amount of coal for raising steam so usage was vey high. They used to have their own coal delivery wagons, 2nd photo of a Bass 7 plank coal wagon
