I'm a returning train enthusiast, as I had a beginner Santa Fe set in my youth and want to pass on that interest to my young son, and having been gone from the hobby for a very long time, I find the technology has upgraded! That being said, I want to build a layout in the near future to share with my son, but find myself on the horns of a dilemma: to DCC or not DCC? I have two little HO 0-4-0 steam switchers based on the Baldwin C-16 Dockside/ Switcher, however they're tiny and DC only currently. I found this Decoder: https://tcsdcc.com/1026 and wonder if it could work. Dimensionally, it should fit within the cab or above the motor, however I want to be sure this Decoder can do what I need it to.
