Morning all! Hope we're all ok. Bit of discussion for today, do you think we're due a OO Gauge HST retool from Hornby, or even an entirely new model from the likes of Accurascale? The Hornby HST is a good model, but it's getting a bit tired, especially when you compare it to other models available on the market. I think the HST would benefit from new bogies, better roof details, a better cab (back lit dashboard like with SLW and Accurascale models would be nice!), lighting upgrade and a DCC sound upgrade, like the Accurascale Deltic's with factory fitted EM2 and Sugar Cube speakers! Apart from all of that, the Mk3s are equally as tired and could do with a face lift, mainly better interiors, wheels and couplings. It's also very hard to buy HSTs in certain liveries. Want a GNER HST? Forget it. East Coast? No chance. National Express? Replacement Bus only! Virgin Cross Country? Nope! What do you think? I'd love to hear your views on the current HST model!
