Another one up for sale, this time a GR3. When I was there at the weekend, I jokingly asked if it had a full service history. "Funny you should ask that", they said and took me to a storeroom. There sat a big crate with the full service history of the aircraft, including all the Form 700s, and individual job sheets. Weight, 50kg! The aircraft first flew in 1976, served in the UK, Germany, Belize, Ascension Island and Falklands. While in Belize it suffered extensive damage from a bird strike, resulting in 3 years of rebuild back in the UK. Its last flight was in 1990, after which it became a static instruction airframe in air conditioned premises. Now up for sale in almost pristine condition with engine, with a price tag of £1m+ Yes, I did sit in the cockpit in the disarmed ejector seat.
