After the recent rail crash, (No, Knutsford not Salisbury!) where a Class 24 with a rake of ICI limestone trucks bound for Allostock Works was derailed at points on the running in section of Knutsford's Chester bound line, I am pleased to report that the Class 24 will soon be back in service, the points have been relaid and the track is back in service. The Lines Management Committee have decided the new points would benefit from the facility to be remotely operated which will happen in the coming days!
