Chapter 1 It all began with a sock bunny kit and a folk festival. The folk festival in question was Fairport’s Cropredy Convention - what began for me as a yearly local event as a child, became an annual pilgrimage ‘back home’ for myself and my family. Each year I take a small project to do, as what could be better than sitting in the sunshine with family and friends (or huddled under an umbrella in the pouring rain!), with something to craft, listening to great bands play live with a pint or two? One year it was a sock rabbit kit that I had been given and took along to sew up: He was made from a rainbow sock and so became a proper Festival Bunny. And of course, no self-respecting festival bunny could be seen without his own pint in his paws...And so ‘Hops’ was born.
