Question: When would the steam infrastructure I’ve been replaced with more modern stuff? I am building a layout set in the early 1970s and I’m wondering if I should include things like water towers and old style signal boxes. And of course the big one, what sort of engine shed should I use. A older one like the one attached metcalfe or a more modern one like by scale scenes? Thanks in advance.
