Hydrogen Train Detail. Ok folks, I’m not an engineer, so this is my layman’s interpretation. The train has tanks with stored at hydrogen at 350psi. The hydrogen passes through a regulator to bring it down to atmospheric pressure. It then passes through a membrane coated with catalyst, to react with oxygen in the air. This produces electricity, heat and water. The electricity powers the train, and the heat and water vent as steam.
