So started having a look at the little Bachmann toy train with a view to converting it to a freelance industrial type. Motor is alright, would benefit from a bigger one with more torque. Overall it needs more weight adding. The main cause of poor running is the fact the axles arent in bearings and are so running directly against the chassis. This will need some work. Other wise the body will need opening up to give some daylight, and likely the smokebox will be replaced with a scratchbuilt one. Also the cab will be opened up and detailed. Not entirely convinced by this project but we shall see
