We start this weekend's videos with a look at the world of DCC (Digital Command Control) throttles, with Larry Puckett (a.k.a The DCC Guy). In the video, Larry gives covers a brief history of DCC standards, the NMRA standards. Larry also covers why as of yet, the NMRA (the organisation that sets the protocol standards that DCC control systems, decoder manufacturers, etc, work hasn't set a protocol standard for DCC throttles. Larry says... " After all with the current system most throttles can only be used with the DCC system they came with making it necessary in many cases to own several throttles if you are an active member of a round-robin operating group. So in this video let's take a look back at just how this situation came about, some workarounds, and we'll do some crystal ball gazing for a look at what the future might offer.'
