We had a walk on the Newport wetlands yesterday. This RSPB managed reserve is on the area that Newport coal fired power station used to dump its fly ash. In places it is over 4 m deep! The power station is closed now and most of it long gone, but just by the side of it the national grid climbs to a great height to cross the river Usk as it heads west to Cardiff and Swansea. The tensioners on this incline and the huge weight of cable strung across the river require a huge anchor point! Would look good modelled....
