Right then… what a day! Where do I even start? I’ve spent the day learning from the master. Tony Wright (if you don’t know of him, search Little Bytham on YouTube) very kindly showed me how to build a DJH loco chassis (using my Britannia kit as an example). My ‘homework’ is to go away and build the body, before returning on a lesson on valve gear. And as usual, I returned with considerably more stuff and considerably less cash. Tony kindly sold me a few things, notably this beautiful (!!!) Etched Brass N.E.R footbridge, which will take pride of place on my up and coming layout! Can’t get much better than that! You’ll have to exclude the temporary mock up… I also took my newly weathered Hornby Q6 to show (a mutual friend weathered her), which Tony loved. What a day! Gonna hit the sack soon… busy day ‘parping’ with my Tuba tomorrow. No rest ft’ wicked!
