Shunting, and especially associated with my local town breweries is of great interest to me, as you may have guessed😬, but looking through my photos yesterday I found the first one below, it’s my Grandad hanging off the footplate of 41532 as they pass by Ind Coope and Allsopps brewery, the 2nd biggest brewer in the town back in the day. He was a shunter/drivers mate associated with the LMS and later BR shed in the town. Interesting way to store additional coal on the pannier tanks I thought, I’ve also added a bit of info on the loco and a photo of it in shed at Burton, 17B, and another 2 photos of the engine, one heavily loaded with additional coal.
