#toptips Don’t be mean to yourself! When I originally laid my track out I was scrimping to get what I wanted done out of the available track. Eventually I got very close to the end and had a standard curve and a piece of flexible track left. Neither were long enough on their own but they bridged the gap together. The problem is that the quite short piece of flexible had too much to do to join up the end of the curve to the other end of the layout and, apparently, has been the bane of my life ever since. For reasons unconnected to this issue I popped over to Model Railways Direct this morning and invested the princely sum of £4 and some pennies in a length of Peco flexible to replace the standard curve and the short flexible. The replacement has the same amount of work to do, but about twice the distance to do it in. My layout has never run so smoothly. It really was a case of false economy! So don’t be mean to yourself! BTW, other goodies were also purchased! I convinced myself I deserved a treat!
