I am running on DC control via a Gaugemaster twin channel controller and, although I know what the problem is, I don’t know how to solve it. The track from A to B is part of a returning loop through my scenic section and the reds and black rectangles are where I connect up my power clips, As you can see, there is an inner return loop but that is not part of my problem. I use my fiddle yard to store my locos and rolling stock, but I also use the siding accessed via turnout D to turn my trains around. So, when turnouts A and B are open to the branch lines that meet at D (via correctly set turnouts C and E) you can see (from the red lines) that I get a short. So, as soon as the loco passes off the main loop through A to the fiddle yard, it looses power and stops. I can reset by closing turn out E, but this is really frustrating. Here is a list of actions that I want to use to turn a train:- 1. Train on main loop passes through A to B, clears B and stops. 2. Turnout B is reset and the train reverses through B, E and and D into reversing siding. 3. Turnouts B, E and D are reset 4. Train moves forward through D towards and through C and A onto mainline It seems so simple, and I know I need to interrupt the short circuit some how, but HOW? Is there a type of switch that only Grade 3 Wizards know about that powers different arms of the triangle at different times or what? Thanks in advance for your help!
