Down Memory Lane - Something completely different from me this time! Back in my "younger days" it was a lot of young boys dreams to have a train set. And of course Hornby were the leaders in model railways back then. I have been "reminiscing" about those early days and have come across a Hornby Catalogue from 1975 (complete with price list). The painting on the front of this catalogue was of course by the famous artist, Terence Cuneo, complete with his 'trade mark', little mouse included in the painting. The complete catalogue makes for very interesting reading and I have attached photos of some of the pages from it. Prices back then were as follows :- R758 Hymek B-B £6.95, R855 Flying Scotsman £9.50, Coaches ranged from £1.70 to £2.25, Wagons ranged from £0.75 to £1.05, Points £0.99, Footbridge £0.85, R739 75 Ton Crane £3.95………… all very interesting reading! By the way, can you find the mouse?🤔 PS. I will post a photo later on indicating the location of the little mouse!
