Hi all. Up to this point I haven’t chipped any of my own locos, but this is about to change - from now on I hope to acquire the skills to do so. Thankfully (and by design) all of my locos are DCC ready. A couple of questions: 1) any general tips/advice? 2) I’m not hugely into DCC sound, but is it worth going that way just because I can, or perhaps better to reserve it for a few showpiece locos? 3) I’m thinking of starting with a couple of Hornby Pecketts - I know it’s a fiddly job but I need a few of them for my #operationshuntit layout. Has anyone done these and got any suggestions re the best chips to use and how to start going about it? Thank you.
