Hi, I'm Louis and I live in Nottinghamshire close to the border with lovely Derbyshire. After modelling 0 gauge, N gauge, 00n narrow gauge I have returned to 00 gauge - principally because of fading eyesight and unsteady hands !! You may say in those circumstances why not go back to 0 gauge ? Two reasons really - lack of space and cost. 00 gauge prices for RTR are getting stupidly high and so I content myself with high quality secondhand and improve them with the addition of DCC and sound - a decision I have never regretted. I model BR Eastern Region 1948 to the end of steam. My favourite locomotives are Gresley A3 pacifics in their various guises. I have a small collection of these locomotives made by Hornby which are excellent in all respects. In addition to DCC etc I have them professionally weathered by Nigel Grove whom I highly recommend.
