Coach lighting question... Good afternoon all! I've been looking at the various options for coach lighting and, not being blessed with 2022 Hornby money, I'm hoping to do this as cheap as possible. Ignoring the battery options for now, I see that you can get kits from Layouts4U, which have everything you need: https://www.layouts4u.net/coach-lighting-tail-lights/dcc-kits-and-tail-lights/dcc-coach-lighting-kits-oo-scale-warm-white However, even though the kits are aimed at the DCC modeller, I'm confused. Doesn't DCC effectively operate on (approx) 15v AC to the rails? If so, wouldn't a bridge rectifier be needed to convert to DC for the LEDs? I know many people use LED light strips of the kind you can buy from Amazon, for lighting buildings and scenery, but these will be being fed from a DC mains adapter - so I understand that bit. I'm just not sure about the power from the rails option for DCC. Can anyone clear it up for me?
