A slightly frustrating start to my modelling day. Firstly, I neither made my Ballast Magic mix strong enough, nor mixed it well enough (it’s always better if shaken not stirred, and I didn’t). And, in tidying it up, I accidentally lifted a piece of track. So that will all have to be patched and repaired. Secondly, my water was a bit thick in one place, so has dried on the outside first, leaving a white bloom. I’ll carefully cut the edge so that it can hopefully ‘breathe’ a little, then hopefully it will right itself over time. Such is the modeller’s lot - well, for me anyway! I always try for ‘right first time’ but rarely achieve it! #operationshuntit
