#postit #realstations Blaenau Ffestiniog a shadow of its former self these days, station wise, the current dual gauge station being on the site of the old GWR (branch from Bala) station, with the gauges now the opposite way around (originally the narrow gauge would have been right of the standard gauge, to its own station in the town). The LNWR station, which the line now leaves along, is underneath a builders merchant, and never actually connected the GWR branch until the Ffestiniog returned and a new central station was built. In the past both stations were massive complexes with dual gauge goods sheds and slate transfer sidings. Second photo is Tan-y-Bwlch, my favourite of the local stations
