Evening folks. In an attempt to provide @jeg_60 with more hilarity, I attempted a very fiddly job tonight. Fitting 3mm LEDs into Peco Yard Lamps. I had intended to use SMS LX200 50’ Yard Lamps, but they are too tall for the residents of Marshall’s Lane. I carefully cut the plastic “bulb” off the underside of the lamp housing and then drilled 2 0.8mm holes through the top and slipped the legs of the LED through. Very careful superglued the LED to the lamp housing and the soldered on very thin wires. Then bent the legs of the LED round to the same shape as the light frame and glued the wires to the post….. and my fingers…! 😁 I’ll paint the wires with grey paint to disguise. 1 down, 1 to go!
