I’ve been working on something a bit different for Chandwell this weekend. This is “Pockets”, a brutalist 1960’s monstrosity thrown up to fill the hole left when a four-storey Victorian building was demolished following a fire in 1956. It is based on “Pockets” in Shipley, which had the same mauve-and-bare-breezeblock-with-Yorkshire-stone-columns in the mid 2000’s. The building is now the abandoned “Fluid Noghtclub” which I photographed the other weekend.
