#postit #passengers As with yesterday theme, just a bit of a twist on this one to link it back to my usual Bass brewery theme. First photo we see a party of VIP’s back in 1929 exiting the Directors Coach in the Bass brewery after a tour, nearest the camera is Edward Vlll, the then Prince of Wales (he controversially abdicated in 1936) with Lord Gretton next to him of Bass Ratcliff & Gretton, chairman of the brewery. The second photo is of the loco team and superintendent with their newly painted and polished engine, specially prepared for the event. Third photo is of the Directors coach with the transport maintenance team which used to transport guests around the brewery system….the coach is currently on display at the Brewery Heritage museum in my home town.
