Evening all. I’m Mike, originally from Yorkshire but live and work in Cyprus. I converted my car port into a shed and am slowly underway with my 80’s BR build. My first layout at 40 odd years old but enjoying learning new skills especially all the woodwork I’ve had to do… apart from taking off the bottom of my index finger with a power planer, that I didn’t enjoy. (Nothing that a little skin graft couldn’t sort out lol!!) I did learn an important lesson - respect your power tools! 😂 Difficult modelling over here. No real model shops let alone model railway and thanks to Brexit it’s a tad expensive getting things sent out here with added added vat and import charges. Finally finished working out my station approach tonight hopefully aiming to get the first circuit in and trains running by Easter!
