For #tardistuesday it’s got to be Lostock Hall shed at the end of steam. It’s the stop towards Preston from Bamber Bridge, where I grew up, and I remember passing the building well in to the 90’s before it was flattened. The sheer number of Stanier locos alongside 25’s, 37’s and 47’s is remarkable. What a shame it wasn’t saved as a loco museum and servicing point for railtours. Electric from London to Farrington Curve, pop on steam and then a trip round the S&C before a sprint back to depot. If only!!
