#tardistuesdayonawednesday 😂 Just for a bit of fun, but in my original post I said I would go to either the Talyllyn in the late 19th century or the Bluebell in the 1960’s. I think I would swap the Talyllyn (cause i’ve seen many photos of it back then) to the Malta Railway in the 1890’s. We hardly have any photos of our railway, all in black and white and most of the time the engines don’t even show. Don’t get me wrong it was a hopeless railway, went bankrupt about 3 or 4 times, but it would be interesting to see it in real life. My Buznanna (Great Grandmother) remembered it and used to tell me about it when I was very young. She died in 2005, when I was 8, so the stories died with her. She was born in 1919, and the railway closed in 1931, for the final time. Fun fact Mussolini claimed he destroyed the Malta Railway network during the Malta blitz in 1940. Despite the fact the line, all the engines and rolling stock had long been melted down by the time the war started 😂
