Just had a go at wiring up some cab lighting using an LED on an old Hornby class 29 as a pilot. Used a ballast resistor on the +ve side of the LED. Works great, but surprised to the see the LED flashing when the loco reversed. I thought LEDs were diodes and should not light when reversed?
