I honestly love this big beast, theres only about 3 chunks of original Hornby plastic left in the model- cab, running plate, and saddletank- a lot of time, blood and swearing went into this model! This model also represents a lot of firsts for me. It was my first time building a locomotive chassis, first time wiring a loco from scratch, first time adding extra lighting functions, making working pickups, and a few others. It's not perfect by a long shot, it fought me a lot of the way, but it's mine. If you take away anything from my ramblings here, take away the courage to try something new in your modelling. It may end in disaster and melted parts, but you'll have tried it, and will know what not to do next time!
