Cattonpark Junction is DCC based OO gauge model railway designed as a modern-day steam and diesel preservation society site. The layout incorporates two stations, 3 engine sheds, a goods shed converted for maintain coaches, a souvenir shop and café, ‘Buffers’ a static fine dining restaurant buffet car, a picnic and play area with terraced houses. Also displaying a signal box and water tower and a sand house and a visitor car park. Using locomotives from the North Eastern region of the British Railways era (1948-1965) and the London and North Eastern Railway steam era, and from British Rail’s corporate Blue livery era.
