Hello, I'm Tony and I live in rural Hertfordshire. I am lucky enough to have an integral garage in my house and the powers that be allow me to use almost half of it for a model railway. I am interested in steam from Grouping to its demise in regular use on our railways. I model in OO, predominantly in 1930 and set somewhere in deepest, darkest West Country. The design is effectively a harbour terminus served by mainline traffic - heavy and manufactured stuff in, dairy, fruit, veg and fish out. I use Peco Streamline track, an NCE PowerCab DCC system and a mixture of decoders. I haven't gone with sound as I don't think it works that well with steam locos. It isn't ever going to be portable or exhibited but I am a solo modeller with a range of interests so progress is slow - although "it's my railway and I'll do what I want" applies.
