A couple of photos from 2014.The inaugural visit to Long Marston for the formation of the Long Marston Military Railway. It was due open to the public in May 2015, with loco's from military backgrounds coming from as far as Holland and Belgium. There was a big spread in the rail press of the day, but we had planning permission rescinded and then one of the major financial backers pulled out due to ill health, so it didn't happen. As an aside, for those of you familiar with The Great St Trinian Train Robbery, the chap 4th from the right kneeling was the driver of the Wickham trolley carrying the headmistress with her megaphone. Oh, and I'm on the back row beneath the M for Marston on the banner
