FIFTH POST Part 4 Completed the cornices on the columns. Cut a straw down to the required lengths to form the outside curvature , then filled them with Polyfilla (other fillers are available!). When set I glued them in place and allowed the glue time to harden before filling and moulding g across the front of each column. The pediments (around the base) are made from 3 mm card and then two fine strips of 1 mm card were blued around each base to hive an impression of the curved bases that the prototype features. Today its blinding in the structure with a dilute grey undercoat and using the SMS weathered roof tile wrap to cover the roof. Maybe even start work on the Roof Lantern structure. Bugger! Now the sun is coming out! 😂
