#toptips Many plastic kits have mould release agent on them and this can result in poor paint coverage. The method of washing the pieces in soapy water can result in soap being left in nooks and crannies - again resulting in poor paint coverage. Instead, I use alcohol swabs which leave no trace on the model afterwards. This is essential for me when doing fine detailing. Costing around £3 per 100, they're cost effective too.
