Having acquired the Oxford Rail Motorail car flats, I thought it would be necessary to have an appropriate loading ramp. Looking at those available on-line, I again, decided that one would have to be scratch built. This was my weekend project and it proved to be quite an easy one at that! This little "ramp" basically consists of 4 main pieces - 2 sides, the "roadway" and a base. Constructed of 1.5mm card, it again, is three ply (inner card core, and "brick" card on both sides.) The roadway is covered with a smooth sandpaper and painted with blackboard paint. The pillars are 6mm square pine and wrapped with the red brick card. Pillar tops and wall copings are 1mm card painted grey. All in all, about 3hrs to construct and an easy small project for the beginner!
