#toptips Save yourselves a fortune on Acrylic thinners by making your own. The original recipe is from Luke's APS on You tube, but due to the use of the F word I will not add a link here. Anyway, the recipe is, 66% Distilled or bottled water, 33% IPA ( isopropyl alcohol and around 10 drops of glycerine. I get my IPA online for about £6 for 500ml. That will make you 1and a half litres of thinners. The glycerine is about £1 from any supermarket, get on the cake ingredients shelf. The cheapest Vallejo thinners ( £7.50 for 200ml) would work out at £56.25. I've used this mix for about 5 years now and never had a problem.
