After saying not much has gone on this week, the last couple of days have seen a few things getting done. Firstly, new arrivals in the shape of Regional Railway Class 101, DRS 66 and 57 and 37892 Ripple Lane. All DCC fitted or ready so they’ll make an appearance on the layout in the next few days. Next up is something my 12yr old daughter is requesting a bit of ‘Dad’s Help’ with. She’s making a waterfall for geography and, after her visit to Malham Cove last week, she’s full of inspiration. We’ve flipped the usual baseboard so we can dig down to create the bowl at the bottom of the falls and started working on rock strata. A coat of PVA or two and then we’ll start adding DAS. Quite looking forward to this with her! 3rd job has been putting in the first bit of retaining wall on the gradient. Not the greatest picture but I have actually got further than this now! Finally, another baseboard for a photo diorama/programming track that will incorporate a bridge over water (new skill there!) and various other elements. Bit of a side project but think I can knock it out over a week or so!
