The more I looked at my paper mock up and the card one the more I struggled to find pleasing proportions in my building. I then noticed that although the prototype is more or less the same height throughout, one part of it is six storeys and the other is five. I’d mixed them all up in my design. So I’ve gone back to the drawing board and think I’ve settled on this as the final approach. The windows on the far right should match those of the station building. Onto mock up attempt 3 next.
