Extending my two end-to-end layouts to enable continuous running on both. The linking baseboard at one end of the room is shown here with track at two levels to connect up with Penrhos and Lydgate (which are set at different heights). This board will be scenic and the frame been deliberately left 'open' so that the railway can run through a rolling hillside - above and below the track bed. In real life the railways were carved into the landscape, which I try to emulatate, rather than fit on top of a flat baseboard. #Baseboards #postit
