#top #tipspostit When wiring up your layout and soldering always use a non acid flux on both sides of the joints before tinning, this let's the solder flow readily and gives a good sound shiny solder joint. Also as a modeler in a club my advice is do not use Unleaded Solder or you will have problems. As you will see others have a different viewpoint but as club we say stay clear. I always use leaded solder to do droppers and my 18watt iron and I have no melted sleepers doing things that way. I mean no disrespect to those who do use unleaded
