Layout Evolution 6 - Narrow gauge Having acquired a bit of extra space on the end of the layout to accommodate the fiddle yard there is now a nice new area to model below the rural station where we have decided to do something in narrow gauge. During the Covid lockdowns I passed the time building RM downloadable card kits with no real thought about what to do with them (just enjoyed making them). A small selection is shown in the photo together with a fire station based on the Victorian ales house featured in a previous article. I quite like the idea of building this area in a diarama style where scenes can be swapped out as suits the mood. Only the track bed and tunnel mouth will be static. The first will be a industrial area if only to use some of the buildings but I would like to try a wharf scene at some point.
