Hi I'm Andrew and thought I should introduce myself - but starting with apologies first for both the the theme of my display given it's Mid-Summer, and also to the fabulous scale modellers posting on here as being new to the hobby I've got a lot to lean! My inspiration was the Santa Special that we took my grandson's on in December (Covid safe) and seeing the pleasure they got from watching the train I brought running around the tree. I decided I could make something more interesting but never having undertaken anything like this before its been a case of trial and error, so really glad I started in January!! Space restrictions mean its a simple oval but using various SMS products (the wooden decking (LX252), wooden platform shelter (LX384), fencing, platform sign and bench) I've created a station halt. Need to source Father Christmas and some winter figures for the platform. The platform section with the trees is removable and the oval splits in two for storage when the whole lot needs to be packed away. The Christmas tree will sit in the hole in the middle, well that's the plan. As you can see still lots to do and errors too correct but it has been fun thus far.
