#toptips Patience, preparation and Primer! I am finding it worth while to prime, obviously plastic models but particularly people; even though it means I have to prepare them before being able to crack on with the fun colours! One thin spray coat had been good enough for me. It feels nicer to paint over the primer and it does show up more of the detail so, if nothing else, you can see better what you are doing, and where the mould lines need removing! Halfords basic grey primer is slightly blue so particularly good for the base colour of slate roofs.
