Well, I have progressed on the RN deck tractor with an hour of work yesterday evening. One problem is that parts aren't all numbered on the instruction sheet and guesswork is needed on similar parts. The other problem is with tiny parts pinging off into the blue yonder even when I use my sticky cocktail stick method of placing them. Two parts were lost under my desk and couldn't be found even with a bright torch. One was the gear lever, which is now a shaped cocktail stick sliver. The other was an air breather pipe for the engine, which I fashioned out of a 4mm length of 2mm plastic rod. My arfur(itis) hasn't helped either, making handling small parts quite difficult. Some of the seams didn't quite meet, even after some fettling, so I have some filling to do before painting. Even so, I am quite pleased with such an old kit for an auxiliary vehicle. [EDIT - just read a review, and apparently this kit isn't all that old ... released in 2015]. More build updates later.
