Well, my weekend didn't go so well. I primed a model Royal Navy deck tractor, allowed 24 hours and then sprayed yellow as a first top coat. Imagine my horror when it failed in a horrible mess. Both paints were labelled as acrylic but didn't go well together. Luckily, I had 2 in the kit, so got on and started to build the second one. Then I found parts of it were twisted in several directions. A bit of judicious partial gluing and then force into the correct position sorted that out. Thank heavens for the quick setting Tamiya Extra Thin Cement I use. I was able to 'wipe' the brush along the join, and capillary action did the rest. Last evening, I completed the build apart from tiny detail parts that are a different colour and will be painted separately. NOT a weekend I wish to repeat!
